 The search for beauty is part of people’s lives. The discovery of new solutions and science’s refinement and evolution are helping us to obtain great results. Today it is possible to search for a rejuvenation procedure without surgery, obtaining natural results with limited risk.

Among the amount of substances discovered and utilized for this purpose, there are two in particular, Botox® and Hyaluronan filling. Categorized as Hyaluronan, these are two non-surgical procedures performed more frequently these days, arousing a lot of interest and doubt in patients.

 

Hyaluronan: This is a natural substance that we have in our organism that hydrates and gives volume to the skin. As we get older, the production of this substance decreases. The Hyaluronan of medical use is a gelatinous implant, that when applied, goes beyond filling or stimulating the skin. Just one application of the Hyaluronan already restores part of the decreased volume. It softens the lines and depressions around the mouth, nasolabial fold, and can create fuller lips, improving the contour.

 

Botox®: Botox® or Botulinum toxin Type A, is a substance that is applied to the indicated area, causing paralyses of the muscle. It then attenuates the expression marks formed from time and by the facial mime. When the muscles relax, the wrinkles attenuate. Botox® is normally used to improve the forehead’s wrinkles, between and above the eyebrows.

 

 

        Special cares 1: Botox® application or filling must be studied in a case-by-case study by a trained doctor. The exaggerated use can lead to a face without expression and/ or artificial looking features.

         

        Special cares 2: It’s important to know that either Botox® or the filling is permanent. Cases are absorbed with time; you have the liberty to do what you want when you want. Its effect lasts from around 6 months or up to 1 year with Hyaluronan, and from 4 to 6 months with Botox®.
