Dental Implants - Next to Nature

Dental Implants provide the most natural solution for replacing missing teeth. Dental implants offer a permanent and naturally beautiful smile. Besides, compared with other dental restoration treatments, dental implants achieve the highest rate of success and satisfaction.

Dental Implants - the Procedure

The Dental Implant procedure is simple and consists of two stages:

    Surgical stage

  • The dental implants are inserted into the jawbone, in order to replace the natural root. They are placed below the gums, as a base. The dental implants will provide stability, because they fuse to the jawbone.
  • Replacement crown stage

  • adding a pin into the dental implant and inserting the crown over the pin.

Following dental implant surgery, it takes from 3 to 6 months for the final replacement crown can be placed. This is the period required for the dental implant to be fused to the jawbone. During this period, the patient uses a temporary replacement crown.

Dental implants might be used to fix single crowns, multiple crowns or even dentures. The replacement crowns are usually long-lasting; however, sometimes a replacement is needed.

Advantages of Dental Implants

A missing tooth reflects on your self-confidence and your bite. A gap between your teeth makes the other teeth move and more vulnerable to crack.
In addition, dental implants will help with issues such as speech difficulties and will demonstrate no risk of decay. Dental implants also prevent sunken cheeks.

Following a dental implant restoration, the patient will have the full strength of their bite back, distributed equally like natural teeth. Once the dental implant and crown are inserted, they will provide firm and reliable results, making the patient feel much more comfortable with their new smile.

Dental implants look so natural that in most cases it is almost impossible to distinguish the dental implant from the natural teeth.

Dental implants are also used to support dental bridges and to secure dentures. Unlike other dental restorations such as bridges, dental implants do not require the grinding down of the teeth on each side of the gap.

Who can have a dental implant?

The patient should have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the dental implant. Some people do not have enough bone structure to support dental implants. However, there is a technique called bone grafting which increases bone heighth and width. Bone grafting technique usually solves most cases of weak bone structure.

No Pain - Revolutionary Technique for Dental Implants

This new technique of dentists in Rio de Janeiro for dental implants uses no scalpel and suture points, which is 90% less traumatic than a dental extraction. In the majority of the cases, the final treatment is completed within 10 to 15 days.

In light of being a simple procedure, individuals between the ages of 60 to 80 can be eligible for this treatment.
